The Firewise Ohio program is an initiative designed to educate Ohioans about wildfire prevention. According to the Ohio Division of Forestry, it is estimated more than 15,000 wildfire and natural fuel fires occurs every year in Ohio, that are usually created by careless burning. Outside municipal limits, fires are prohibited from 6am to 6pm during the months of March, April, May, October and November. It is during these times that wildfires are most likely to occur and are the most difficult to control. This ban also includes fires unintentionally started. For more Firewise Ohio Information or Burn Laws click the link below and learn all about the Ohio Division Of Forestry.
