We currently have 3 engine companies out of both stations. Engine 1 is stationed Station 2 and is accompanied with Engine 6, which is our reserve pumper. Engine 7 is serving Station 1.
Engine 5 is housed at Station 1 and provides fire suppression as well as a magnitude of rescue capabilities. Engine 5 carries 1000 gallons of water with a 2000GPM pump. Engine 5 is our first due apparatus for all emergencies in our area.
Rescue 9 is our first due rescue company from Station 2. It is an 2011 Alexis 4x4 mini-pumper. It is outfitted to handle light duty rescue situations as well as brush fire operations due to the topography of the Sunrise District.
Tanker 3 is our newest addition to the fleet. This apparatus was purchased with the Sunrise District in mind. Tanker 3 carries 3000 gallons of water with a 1500 gpm pump. Approx. 30% of our district (Burlington District) is supplied by fire hydrants, so this apparatus enables us to bring large quantities of water to a fire in the Northern part of our district. The Fayette Township Fire Department is also part of the Lawrence County Tanker Task force which can be called upon to respond anywhere in Law.
