FTFD1+F2VFD=Your new fire department!

July 1, 2009: In
November we asked you to support us by voting on a
levy that was aimed at combining the Fayette
Township Fire District #1 with the Fayette #2 Fire
Department. Now we are pleased to announce that with
your help we've finally been able to bring it all
together. Both departments have been working
together in an automatic aide agreement for several
years so it's not likely you'll see much of a
change. But, the administration of the department
has now taken a huge step to streamline our
operations. What does that mean? We can now work
more efficiently and can stretch you tax dollars
even farther.
What can you do for...you?

Before I joined the fire department I was like
anyone else. If there were a fire or a car wreck in
the neighborhood I would walk down to see what was
happening. It didn't take long for me to turn in an
application. As a member of the fire department for
the past 14 years I can tell you that it has been
one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I
still get to go see what is happening but now I know
how to help. On a local level there is no better way
to contribute to your community. There are many ways
you can help. Click here to

Four Departments Respond to Burlington Fire

April 5, 2009: We
responded to a fully involved structure fire shortly
before midnight on April 5th. The initial fire
attack was hindered because of power lines were down
in the rear of the residence. Units from Fayette #2
as well as South Point and Chesapeake Fire
Departments were called to the scene. The Ohio State
Fire Marshal's office was contacted to conduct the
investigation.
More Photos are available in our
photo gallery. They
were taken by a former Fayette Twp Firefighter Roy
Evans who has been recently reinstated as the
department's photographer.
